Richmond Symphony League’s 55th Annual Student Concerto Competition
Sponsored by the Elinor and Frank Kuhn Concerto Competition Fund

  

Since 1969, the Richmond Symphony League has hosted this student concerto competition to encourage and recognize young musicians from Virginia. The first-prize winner will receive a cash award and be considered for an invitation to perform with the Richmond Symphony during the 2025–26 season. The competition is open to classically-trained instrumental music students from Virginia who have not graduated from high school who play woodwind, brass, string, piano, and percussion instruments.

COMPETITION - Students who are accepted to participate will compete in-person on Jan. 3, 2026.
  
AWARD - Grand Prize Winner will receive $1,000 and be considered for an invitation to perform with the Richmond Symphony during the 2025–26 season. Runner-up Prize Winner will receive $750 and be considered for an invitation to perform for a Richmond Symphony League event.

The Richmond Symphony League is proud to announce the
2026 Designer Show House.

This custom designed home, built in 1987, is located at
3937 Old Gun Road West in the historic Bellona Arsenal
neighborhood. The home spans 8,003 square feet and
includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and sits on
25 beautifully landscaped acres overlooking the James River.


Come see how the area's most talented interior designers transform
this premier property to raise funds for the Richmond Symphony.


The 2026 Designer Show House will be open to the public
from April 14 through May 10, 2026.

The Springtime Sonata Opening Gala is scheduled for
April 10, 2026.  
This RSL hosted event will include a
cocktail party, music by the John Winn Quintet
and a preview of the house.


Tickets for the Opening Night Gala and Daily House Tours
will be available November, 2025.
